1. Jam of strawberries and vanilla:
Ingredients:

1 kg fresh strawberries, without the crown and cut into pieces

800 grams of sugar

Juice in a lemon

1 vanilla pod, halved

Instructions:

Put the strawberries, sugar and lemon juice in a large saucepan.

Add the vanilla pod cut in half and scraped.

Bring the mixture to the boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.

Let it simmer until the jam has the desired thickness (approximately 20-30 minutes).

Remove the vanilla pod and pour the hot jam into sterilised jars.

Close the jars tightly and treat them in the desired way.

2. Home-made tomato sauce:
Ingredients:

2.5 kg of ripe, peeled and diced tomatoes

1 large onion, finely chopped

3 garlic cloves, sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon of sugar

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh herbs (basil, oregano) to taste

Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and fry the onion until it is translucent.

Add the garlic and fry for one minute.

Add tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper and spices.

Allow the simmer on low heat for 2 to 3 hours, stirring from time to time, until the sauce thickens.

Remove the spices and reduce the puree sauce with a diving mixer.

Pour the hot sauce into sterilised jars, close tightly and treat according to your preferred method of canning.
