This ‘Hobo Crisp’ is so warm and comforting, the kids ask for it every single week!
By McKayla Davis
This hobo apple crisp is a delightful and simple dessert that’s perfect for family gatherings or a cozy evening at home. Originating from a creative twist on campsite desserts, it’s a quick way to enjoy the flavors of fall without much hassle. You can easily make it over a fire or in the oven at home. It’s a recipe that’s close to my heart because it brings back so many warm memories of family camping trips and autumn nights.
Hobo apple crisp is delicious on its own, but for a heartier dessert, serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. A dollop of whipped cream also complements the sweet and tart apple filling beautifully. Pair it with a mug of spiced cider or a cup of hot tea to round out the flavors. It’s an easy and comforting treat that works well with most dinners as a sweet finish.
