Ingredients:
For the Crust:
– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 large egg yolk
– 2 tablespoons cold water
For the Apple Filling:
– 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (preferably Granny Smith)
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Cream Cheese Layer:
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup heavy cream
For the Topping:
– 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)
– Powdered sugar for dusting
