Blueberry or blueberry: which variety to choose?
Before planting, you need to choose the right gardening companion. There are two main varieties available:
- The wild blueberry ( Vaccinium myrtillus ): short on legs (20 to 50 cm high), perfect for shady corners and lovers of authentic nature .
- The blueberry shrub ( Vaccinium corymbosum ): larger (up to 2 meters), ideal for growing in pots or in the ground. Bonus: its white bell-shaped flowers in spring are as decorative as they are charming!
Some varieties are self-pollinating, so there’s no need to plant several to produce fruit. Convenient, right?
