How to clean your washing machine naturally: fast and cheap methods

Regular maintenance of your washing machine not only prolongs its life, but also improves its performance. Natural cleaning is not only simple, but also environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Here are some simple steps to clean your washing machine naturally:

1. Hot-water and vinegar wash vinegar is a natural cleanser that can help dissolve mineral deposits and mould growth while removing odours.

Instructions:
Adjust your washing machine to work on its hottest cycle with the highest load setting.
Add 2 cups of white vinegar to the detergent dispenser.
Let the machine run through a complete washing and rinsing cycle.
If your machine has a persistent smell of mould or visible mould, stop the cycle for one hour after the machine has filled with water and vinegar to allow it to soak.

2. After the vinegar cycle, sodium bicarbonate can be used to rub the inside of the barrel where residues may have become detached.

Instructions:
After washing with vinegar, sprinkle 1 cup of sodium bicarbonate directly into the drum of the washing machine.
Perform another cycle of hot water. Sodium bicarbonate helps to deodorize your machine more and can help remove any persistent odor of vinegar.

3. Cleaning the detergent drawer and filter The drawers and detergent filters can contain a significant amount of accumulation and mould.

Instructions:
Remove the detergent drawer and soak it in hot soapy water. Use an old toothbrush to remove any residue and rinse it thoroughly.
See the manufacturer’s instructions for how to access the filter of the device and clean it. As a general rule, it is a question of unscrewing a panel and removing the filter and rinse it with hot water.
