Prepare the chocolate: Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it in a bain-marie (just fill a pan with water and place a bowl with the chocolate on top). Stir occasionally to ensure even melting.
Prepare the cream: In a saucepan, heat the cream without bringing it to the boil. Add the icing sugar and vanilla extract, then pour everything into the melted chocolate, mixing well.
Add the mascarpone: Combine the mascarpone with the chocolate cream and whip the mixture until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous cream.
Prepare the base: In the meantime, mix the melted butter with the crumbled biscuits until you obtain a sandy consistency. Spread it on the bottom of a baking tray or glasses, pressing lightly.
Assemble the dessert: Pour the chocolate cream onto the biscuit base and level the surface. Refrigerate for at least a few hours, preferably overnight, so that the dessert hardens well.
