Ingredients: For the dough: 500g flour 250ml milk 50g butter or margarine (melted) 1 egg 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon sugar 1 packet dry yeast For the filling: 500g plums (pitted and chopped) 100g sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 50g breadcrumbs Zest of 1 lemon For the topping: 1 egg (for the butter) Icing sugar (optional)
Preparation: Preparing the dough: Heat the milk, add the sugar and yeast and let it rise.
Sift the flour into a bowl, add the salt, egg and melted butter.
Add the fermented milk and knead until you get a smooth dough.
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for approx. for 1 hour or until doubled in volume.
