This could be my forever food. It’s unbelievably tasty!

1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup fig jam
1/2 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Brush both sides of the baguette slices with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet.
Toast the baguette slices in the preheated oven for 6-8 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crisp.
Spread a generous layer of fig jam on each toasted baguette slice.
Top each slice with crumbled gorgonzola cheese.
Optional: Add chopped walnuts on top for extra crunch and flavor.
Place the bruschetta back into the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese begins to melt.
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!
Variations & Tips
For a milder taste, you can substitute gorgonzola with goat cheese or brie. If fig jam isn’t available, consider using apricot or peach preserves. You can also add a drizzle of balsamic glaze on top for an extra layer of flavor. For a hearty twist, try adding a slice of prosciutto before topping with cheese
