The Ultimate Chocolate Babka Recipe

1. Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
Add the warm milk, eggs, and butter, then mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 ½ – 2 hours, or until doubled in size.
2. Make the Chocolate Filling
Melt the butter and chocolate together until smooth.
Stir in the cocoa powder and sugar, then let cool slightly.
3. Shape the Babka
Roll the dough into a 14×18-inch (35×45 cm) rectangle.
Spread the chocolate filling evenly over the dough.
