Disturbing urine: an indicator of infection or poor nutrition


Disturbing or milky urine may simply be due to a diet that is too rich in certain minerals, but it may also indicate an infection or the presence of proteins in the urine. Drinking more water and eating a balanced diet may be enough to solve the problem.
However, if this phenomenon is recurrent, a medical check-up is recommended to identify the underlying cause.

Urinary too clear: attention to overhydration
If your urine is constantly clear, it may mean you are drinking too much water. Excessive overhydration can upset the balance of your electrolytes, which can be harmful to your body.
In some cases, abnormally clear urine may also be a sign of liver problems, such as cirrhosis. If your water intake is normal but your urine remains clear, it is best to talk to a doctor about it.
