The absolute best way to cook turkey! I wish I had learned about this method earlier!

1 whole turkey, completely defrosted (12-24 pounds)

– 1 big bag that can be used in the oven

– 2/3 cup of butter at room temperature

– Add salt and pepper as desired.

– 2 tablespoons of dried herbs like thyme, rosemary, and sage.

– 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

– 1 onion, cut into pieces

– 3 pieces of celery, cut into small pieces

– 2 carrots, cut into small pieces

– 1 spoonful of flour

Helpful Hint: To properly thaw a turkey, plan to leave it in the refrigerator for one day for every 5 pounds of turkey.

Directions:

1. Heat the oven to 350°F and place the rack just below the center.

Combine butter, garlic, salt, and pepper.

Take out the neck and giblets, then fold the wings underneath or tie them back.

4. Spread butter mixture on the turkey.

Cover the inside of the oven bag with 1 tablespoon of flour. Then, put in onion, carrots, celery, and turkey.

Close the bag, make small cuts for steam, and put it in a baking dish.

7. Cook the turkey according to its weight. For a turkey weighing 12-15 lb, cook for 2-2.5 hours. For a turkey weighing 15-20 lb, cook for 2.5-3 hours. For a turkey weighing 20-24 lb, cook for 3-3.5 hours. Make sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Take a break for 20 minutes. Then, gently take out the bag. Move the turkey to a serving dish. ¡Atiende, por favor!
