Shrimp and Grits

Prepare Cheesy Grits:

Boil water, add salt, and gradually whisk in grits. Cover and cook on low for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Stir in butter, cream, and cheddar cheese.

Cook Bacon:

In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels, reserving the grease. Chop bacon once cooled.
Cook Shrimp:

In the reserved bacon grease, add shrimp seasoned with Cajun seasoning and cayenne. Cook for 1 minute on each side, then remove.

Sauté Vegetables:

In another skillet, heat vegetable oil and sauté red pepper for 2-3 minutes. Lower heat, add green onions and garlic, cooking for 1 minute. Stir in broth, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Return shrimp and bacon to skillet and heat for 1 minute.

Serve:

Spoon cheesy grits into bowls, top with the shrimp mixture, and enjoy!
