Red wine cake

1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 180 °C and grease a cake tin (ø 26 cm).
2. Butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream the soft butter with the sugar.
3. Add eggs: Add the eggs one at a time and stir well until the mixture is homogeneous.
4. Add red wine: Pour the red wine into the mixture and keep stirring.
5. Dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
6. Mix: Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture one at a time and mix well until a smooth batter forms.
7. Pour the batter into the pan: Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pan.
8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
9. Let cool: Remove the cake from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and let cool completely.
10. Dust: Dust the cake with powdered sugar before serving.
