Step 1: Mosquito Trap
Mosquitoes are not only annoying but can also spread diseases. Fortunately, with a simple DIY trap, you can reduce their population.
Instructions:
Dissolve 5 tablespoons of sugar in 1 cup of boiling water.
Add 1 tablespoon of yeast and stir thoroughly.
Cut a 2-liter plastic bottle in half, separating the neck from the body.
Pour the mixture into the lower half of the bottle.
Create a funnel by placing the bottle’s top (upside down) on the bottom section.
Place the trap in areas where you’ve seen mosquitoes, such as near windows or on a balcony.
Step 2: Cockroach and Fly Repellent
Cockroaches and flies are often attracted to food waste and damp areas. To keep them away, try this natural repellent.
Instructions:
In a saucepan, boil 15 bay leaves and 10 cloves in 1 cup of water.
Let the mixture boil for about 10 minutes before removing it from the heat and allowing it to cool.
After cooling, transfer the mixture into a spray bottle.
Use this repellent in areas where you’ve encountered cockroaches or flies, such as the kitchen, pantry, or bathroom.
Step 3: Multi-Insect Repellent Spray
You can make a spray out of shampoo, vegetable oil, and white vinegar to repel mosquitoes, cockroaches, and flies more effectively.
Instructions:
Combine 1/2 cup of shampoo, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, and 1/2 cup of white vinegar in a container.
Stir until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Place the solution in a clean spray bottle.
Apply this spray to insect-prone areas such as near doors, windows, and kitchen corners.
