Pizza Pinwheels

Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until frothy, about 5 minutes.
Add olive oil, flour, and salt. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Assemble the Pinwheels:
Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle with cheese, pepperoni, bell pepper, onion, and Italian seasoning.
Roll up the dough tightly from the long side, like a jelly roll. Slice into 1-inch thick rounds.
Place rounds on a greased baking sheet, slightly apart. Let them rise for about 30 minutes.
Bake:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the pinwheels for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm, garnished with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, with pizza sauce for dipping.
