Perfect Butter Cream

1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and smooth.
2. Gradually add in the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
3. Add the vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream. Beat on high speed for 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy. If the frosting is too thick, add more heavy cream, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
4. Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or cookies. Or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Bring to room temperature and re-whip before using.
