Orange Shortcrust Pastry Slices with Chocolate and Almonds 🍊πŸͺ✨

Ingredients:
1 whole egg πŸ₯š
1 egg yolk πŸ₯š
300 g of type 1 flour 🍞
20 g of cornstarch 🌾
150 g of soft butter 🧈
100 g of sugar 🍬
1 teaspoon of baking powder 🧁
Grated zest of 2 oranges 🍊
2 tablespoons of orange juice 🍊
1 pinch of salt πŸ§‚
For the filling:
250 g of Nutella or chocolate spread 🍫
100 g of flaked almonds 🌰
Method:
Preparation of the shortcrust pastry:
In a large bowl, beat the whole egg and the egg yolk with the sugar until obtain a light and frothy mixture. Add the soft butter and mix well. 🌟
Then add the flour, cornstarch, yeast and pinch of salt, mixing until the mixture is smooth. Finally, add the grated orange zest and orange juice, to give a fresh and fragrant touch! 🍊

Dough rest:
Wrap the dough in cling film and leave to rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. This will help make it easier to roll out and work with. ❄️

Roll out and form the slices:
Once rested, roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Use a rolling pin to obtain a thickness of about 1 cm. 🌟
Using a knife or a cutter, cut out slices of the shape you prefer, square or rectangular. If you want an extra touch, you can also make small round biscuits. πŸͺ
