Mosquitoes can be a real nuisance, and finding effective natural remedies to keep them at bay is a popular pursuit. Using onions is an intriguing organic method to repel these pesky insects. Here’s a simple recipe using onions to create a natural mosquito repellent that’s free of harsh chemicals.
Onion-Based Mosquito Repellent
Ingredients:
1 large onion
2 cups of water
Instructions:
Prepare the Onion:
Peel the onion and chop it into large chunks. This increases the surface area, allowing more of the onion’s natural juices and compounds to be released into the water.
Boil the Onion:
Place the chopped onion in a pot and add 2 cups of water.

Cool and Strain:
After simmering, remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool completely.

Transfer to a Spray Bottle:
Pour the cooled onion-infused water into a clean spray bottle for easy application.
