KFC Style Potato Wedges

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Potatoes:
Wash and scrub the potatoes well. You can peel them if you prefer, but leaving the skin on adds extra texture and flavor.
Cut each potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into wedges. Aim for uniform sizes so they cook evenly.

Season the Potatoes:
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried thyme, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
Toss the potato wedges in the seasoning mixture until they are well coated.

Arrange and Bake:
Arrange the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet. For the crispiest results, use a baking sheet with a wire rack, or make sure the wedges are not crowded on the sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wedges are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Serve:
Remove from the oven and let the potato wedges cool slightly before serving. They are delicious on their own or with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ketchup, ranch, or a spicy aioli.

Tips:
For Extra Crispiness:
For even crispier wedges, soak the potato wedges in cold water for about 30 minutes before seasoning. Pat them dry thoroughly before coating and baking.

Air Fryer Option:
You can also cook these potato wedges in an air fryer. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook in batches for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.

Season to Taste:
Feel free to adjust the seasonings based on your preference. You can add more herbs, spices, or even a little Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.

Enjoy your homemade KFC-style potato wedges! They’re perfect as a side dish or a tasty snack.
