I swear, this is my hubby’s favorite holiday appetizer of all time!

– 12 large button or cremini mushrooms
– 8 ounces of crabmeat, fresh or canned
– 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 2 tablespoons of green onions, finely chopped
– 1 garlic clove, minced
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
– 2 tablespoons melted butter
– Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel. Carefully remove stems, chop them finely, and set aside.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the crabmeat, softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped mushroom stems, green onions, minced garlic, paprika, and salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well incorporated.
4. Stuff each mushroom cap generously with the crab mixture.
5. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter, then sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture on top of the stuffed mushrooms for a crispy finish.
6. Place the mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender, and the tops are golden brown.
7. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
