‘Green Bean Bliss’—just 5 ingredients, but the garlicky butter makes these green beans a holiday must-have!
Rinse the green beans in cold water and trim the ends.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until it’s fragrant.
Add the green beans to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat them in the garlic butter.
Cover the skillet with a lid, reduce the heat to medium-low, and steam the green beans for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
Remove the lid, increase the heat to medium-high, and sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until the beans are slightly caramelized.
Variations & Tips
For a bit of heat, sprinkle a pinch of red pepper flakes alongside the salt and pepper. If your family enjoys cheese, consider grating a little Parmesan over the green beans just before serving. You can also add sliced almonds or toasted pine nuts for a bit of crunch. For a zestier twist, squeeze a little lemon juice over the beans just before serving.
