Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to beat together the cream cheese, butter, egg, and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy.
2. Add the cake mix to the bowl and blend until fully combined. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
4. Place the powdered sugar in a small bowl. Scoop out the dough and roll it into 1½-inch balls. Roll each ball in the powdered sugar until fully coated.
5. Arrange the sugar-coated dough balls on a lightly greased cookie sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes.
7. Allow the cookies to cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
8. If desired, sift additional powdered sugar over the cooled cookies before serving
