Preparation of apples:
Peel the apple, remove the core and cut it into thin slices. Place the apple slices in a bowl and sprinkle them with the 2 tablespoons of sugar and a little cinnamon. Mix well and leave aside.
Preparation of the dough:
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add the vegetable oil and milk to the egg mixture and mix well.
Gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder, mixing until you obtain a smooth mixture.
Add the chopped nuts to the dough and mix gently.
Cake composition:
Butter and flour a cake mold.
Pour half the mixture into the prepared mold.
Arrange the sugared apple slices evenly over the dough.
Pour the rest of the mixture over the apples.
Cooking:
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and an insert comes out clean.
Once cooked, let the cake cool before turning it out.
Service:
Serve the apple pie with caramel sauce hot or at room temperature, as desired.
