2. Zeppole (Italian fried dough balls)
Ingredients:
250 g (2 cups) flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
250 ml (1 cup) milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Oil for frying
Powdered sugar for topping
Instructions:
Mix flour, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl.
Add milk, egg, and vanilla, stirring until smooth.
Drop spoonfuls into hot oil and fry until golden.
Drain and dust with powdered sugar.
3. Fried Doughnuts (Soft and fluffy!)
Ingredients:
250 ml (1 cup) warm milk
50 g (1/4 cup) sugar
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1 egg
50 g (1/4 cup) butter, melted
400 g (3 1/4 cups) flour
1/2 tsp salt
Oil for frying
Glaze or powdered sugar for topping
Instructions:
Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Add egg, melted butter, flour, and salt. Knead until smooth.
Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
Roll out, cut into circles, and fry until golden brown.
Glaze or dust with powdered sugar!
