1. Prepare the cupcakes:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, and place cupcake liners on the baking tray.
In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.
Divide the mixture between the cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
2. Prepare the decoration:
Using the white buttercream, pipe a small layer on the top of the cupcake to serve as a base for the buttercream tree.
Place the green buttercream in a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe a small tree in the center of the cupcake.
Decorate the tree with colorful candy balls and add a red candy star on top.
3. Serve:
Place the cupcakes on a serving plate and enjoy!
