Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. Add the cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. Gradually add the milk, stirring until just combined. Don’t overmix!

5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Roll it out to fit a 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet, pressing it into the pan to form the crust.

6. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess grease, but leave about 1 tablespoon in the pan for flavor.

7. Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir well. Let it cook for about 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.

8. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Keep stirring until the gravy starts to thicken.

9. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust seasoning as needed. The gravy should be thick but spreadable.

10. Spoon the sausage gravy onto the biscuit crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

11. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the gravy. If adding scrambled eggs or any other toppings, sprinkle them over the cheese.

12. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the biscuit crust is golden brown around the edges.

13. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with sliced green onions or fresh parsley if desired. Slice and enjoy!
