Best Egg Rolls
Ingredients:
1 package of vermicelli rice noodles
4 cups of green cabbage, thinly sliced
8 ounces of brown or white mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 pound of ground pork
2 medium carrots, grated
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of olive oil, plus 2 tablespoons
1/2 teaspoon of salt, plus another 1/2 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
40-45 egg roll wrappers (from the freezer section)
1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
Oil for frying (about 2 inches deep in a Dutch oven)
Sweet chili sauce, for serving
