Banana Cream Cheesecake

1 banana, sliced
Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Mix crushed cookies with melted butter and press into a springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool.
Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in mashed bananas. Pour over the base and bake for 50-60 minutes.
Cook milk, sugar, egg yolks, and cornstarch over medium heat, stirring until thick. Remove from heat, add banana slices and vanilla, and let cool.
Spread banana cream over cooled cheesecake. Garnish with banana slices and whipped cream.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
