Apple Cake

Next, we put the apples together with the flour, milk, eggs, yeast and sugar in a large bowl and proceed to beat them until we have a homogeneous mixture, with as few lumps as possible.

We preheat the oven to 180º C, with heat from above and below. While it heats up, we take a round silicone mould, or we butter and flour a normal mould, and pour the mixture we have obtained into it. If we want, we can put some pieces of apple cut into slices in the middle of the mixture, from the apple we had reserved.

When the oven is hot, we put the mould in and leave it for about an hour. To see if the cake is done, we will prick it with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean, it is ready to be removed from the oven.

We let it cool before removing it from the mould. If we want to decorate the cake and give it a bit of shine, we dilute a little apricot jam in water and spread it over the surface with a brush. Spectacular!
