Apple Cinnamon Puff Pastry with Apricot Jam

Yields: 4 servingsPrep time: 20 minutes Cook time: 20-25 minutes

Ingredients:

1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed according to package directions
2-3 medium apples (such as Granny Smith), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
2 tablespoons apricot jam
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions

Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare apples: In a small bowl, toss apple slices with sugar and cinnamon.
Assemble tart:
On the lightly floured surface, unfold the puff pastry sheet.
If desired, trim the edges to make a neater square.
Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the egg wash.
