1 – SEA SALT
Salt water is effective in reducing gum swelling and inflammation. It is the minerals present in sea salt that help fight infections. Dissolve a small amount of sea salt in a cup of warm water. Gargle with a mouthful of the solution for 30 seconds and then spit it out. Repeat this 3 times a day until the symptoms disappear.
2 – GRAPEFRUIT SEEDS
They contain an antimicrobial substance that fights inflammation and infections of the oral mucosa. A dietary supplement (CitroBiotic’, in health food stores) can be tried as a mouthwash or to swallow (5 drops 3 times a day in a glass of water).
